The math
The alternative to Mattercite is not another tool. It is a senior person's week.
A 200-question SIG or LP DDQ takes a security lead or counsel three to five days to research, draft, and reconcile. At a loaded cost near $400 a day, that is $1,200 to $2,000 per questionnaire, before the deal it is holding up.
$149 a month covers 300 questions, so that same questionnaire runs in an afternoon of review for about half a day of the old cost. Answer one questionnaire a quarter and Starter has paid for itself four times over.
Questions
One row of a questionnaire that Mattercite drafts an answer for. Re-running a question after you update a document counts again. Editing, approving, exporting, and chat do not count.
On a paid plan, nothing stops. Questions beyond the plan are billed at $0.50 each at the end of the month. Pages and seats are hard limits; upgrade to raise them.
Seats are not how we charge; the cap exists so a workspace stays a working group rather than a company directory. Ten to fifty seats covers every team we have seen answer questionnaires. If you need more, write to us.
Yes, from Configuration in the app. Upgrades apply immediately and are prorated. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your workspace and exports stay available.
